This is an opportunity to gain support from people who have had similar experiences and an understanding of the problems encountered whilst supporting someone with an alcohol problem.
Sharing experiences, ideas and coping strategies can be very helpful.
Please join us for an informal gathering with free tea/coffee and biscuits.
IMPACT AAS is a community led organisation that promotes and supports positive change, aiming to be the best means of helping those affected by alcohol and other addictions. We provide professional services that are accessible confidential and effective. People are at the core of everything we do and our approach is sensitive supportive and caring.

“To provide a high quality, client centered service for adults concerned about a relative or friend's drinking.”
Concerned Others Project - Aims
To empower people to continue to offer support to the person whose drinking they are concerned about
whilst ensuring that their own needs are met by:
1. Providing Advice and Information including the following:
- Concerned Others / Carer's Information & Useful Contacts Pack
- Concerned Others / Carer's Support Pack
- Newsletter
- Advice Clinics on employment & training, money matters and time off
2. Providing a Therapeutic Counselling Service.
3. Offering group work, workshops, drop in sessions and self care activities.
4. Raising awareness of the project and of Concerned Others / Carers Issues among Concerned Others / carers and professionals.
5. Giving Concerned Others / Carers an opportunity to have a voice.
